Intensive Course in Poetry and Movement

Open to anyone interested - in Spanish

WHEN: March 2026 - Saturday 14 11:00–18:00 – Sunday 15 11:00–17:00 (1h break each day)

🐚 In this course we will explore poetry as an act of the body. We will listen for words emerging from within, like placing an ear at the heart of what is sounding. We will invite movement, breath, and presence to become poetic material.

Through practices of improvised dance/movement and writing in the moment, we will attend both to the physical body and to the body of words, observing how they move, hold, arch, or expand in space. This poetic laboratory invites us to feel how the poem is born not only from the mind but from the impulse of the body—its rhythm, tension, stillness, and flow. We will also work with how these elements relate to others, to space, and to time, creating unique pieces of poetry and movement where voice, the imaginative landscape of the poem, and its embodied presence resonate together.

We will work in small groups, duos, and individually. We will write and move, observe and compose.

The sessions are structured as a journey toward listening—to one’s own voice, to the voice of the body, to the image—so that movement becomes language and the word becomes choreography, in a continuous dialogue between body and text that leads us toward unique forms of poetry.

Open to anyone interested. No previous experience is necessary, though it is very welcome. The course is taught in Spanish.
